I don't know...

...what I weigh.

Yea, for the first time in a while I decided to ditch weighing myself for a few days. Why?
Because I got frustrated. My weight suddenly went up 8 pounds for some reason and no matter what I did I felt like I couldn't stop it. That annoys me. So, I struck back. I ate more. And I stopped weighing myself.

I needed a mental break from wondering what my weight was every day. I figure, if I look in the mirror and I think I look like I did the week before, I'll be OK.

Tomorrow I'm going to go back to weighing myself. I'm hoping I'm back down to where I've been since March or so..203-ish.

I ran again today. It felt nice. Instead of jumping on the treadmill and trying to see how fast I could crank out a 5k, I ran a few intervals, and then I just ran at a steady 5-6 mpg for 20 minutes or so.

Eating has been pretty good today. Like Bill and some others I do end up indulging on alchohol on the weekends and I'm of the mindset i want to have fun this summer and not limit myself everywhere. So since that is the plan I'm trying to keep my weekdays extra clean and healthy in order to prepare for the deboucherous weekends. Hopefully this works out.

Well, that's all I really have to say about that..

Since I don't like posts without images to look at, here's a picture of my dog Bella with a bowl on her head. This one is for you Melissa.

what a cute dog! :)
do you think maybe some of your weight gain is muscle?

I see that you run a lot of 5k's. How did you work your way up? I can jog for about 3 miles at 5-6 miles/hour but it seems as though as soon as I try to crank it out I get some air cramps in my shoulders or gut...

Since you are in maintence mode you probably can get away with not weighing yourself everday. Make sure to weigh yourself at least once a week. You could try out Kristen's method of weigh-ins also...just a thought.

That is a pretty funny picture of your dog by the way!

Watch out for that attitude, it can get you in a lot of trouble if you stick with it. Point being, you will never notice the change from week to week, you'll just realize one day that you gained 30 lbs.

I skip weigh-ins sometimes too. But I think it's important to keep on it at least once a week.

i guess i wasnt being clear. I took a 3 day break for weighing myself everyday. Just a 3 day break. I went back to it today and plan to weigh myself every day again.

BTW, 205 today.

The "summer" mindset has gotten me in trouble more often that not. I get pissed with myself when I work my ass off all week then blow it over the weekend. I'm trying to make a mental shift, allowing myself to enjoy certain things in moderation.
